Multi-Flutist Pamela Whitman transports audiences on a journey of the heart and spirit with her collection of rare flutes from around the world. This contemplative concert is an instrumental affirmation of The Season of Nonviolence. Indigenous melodies and original music for Gandhi, Martin Luther King Junior and Cesar Chavez are interwoven with the peace teachings of the masters to inspire audiences to the transformative power of the Season that dwells within their own being.

About Pamela
Flutist and Producer Pamela Whitman is internationally recognized for bringing together people and cultures through her visionary style of interdisciplinary music-making and peace-making. A descendent of great American poet Walt Whitman, Pamela earned her degree in Flute Performance from the University of Michigan. She has been the Principal Flutist of The Ocean City Pops Orchestra since 1989. She performs classical, world music and original meditation music on a collection of rare flutes from around the world, incorporating multiple creative mediums and genres. The L. A. Xpress has described her concerts as "a unique blend of compassion, technique, style, cultural diversity and personality."

As a producer and performer she has starred at such illustrious venues as The Brooklyn Academy of Music; The Birendra International Convention Center in Kathmandu, Nepal; The Colden Center, Xinghai Concert Hall in Guangzhou, China; The House of Blues in Hollywood and more. Her international appearances also include performances at the Holland Festival in Amsterdam, the International Juni Festwochen in Zurich, Maggio Musicale in Florence, Italy and a world premiere performance of Karlheinz Stockhausen's La Scala Production, Samstag Aus Licht (Saturday From Light) in Milan. By Registering for a class, you agree to adhere to our policies as outlined in this form and on our website. Some of our workshops are available LIVE via webcast format. These programs are filmed, recorded and will be available On Demand in the future. By registering for a program that's offered LIVE, you release and authorize Comfort Zone Center to record and film with the understanding these videos will be available for sale ON DEMAND at a later date.

Upon registration and payment, you will receive notification and confirmation from us via email. If you are registering for a LIVE Webcast program, a secure password will be provided via email 24 hours prior to your program start time.

If you're registering for a 6 or 8-week series, we will make allowances for 2 make-up classes per Series. You can make-up the missed classes in any of the classes on our walk-in schedule. These make-up classes MUST be used within the dates of your particular series.
