Ed Harrold's Flexibility for Athletes program has been recognized as the best performance training program to hit sports since interval training in the 1960's. It's a total "Body OVER Mind" workout.
In this series, students will learn our strength, flexibility and endurances principles to enhance peak performance. Athletes will learn and understand the importance of the mind/body relationship in high or low intensity activity.
The camp is appropriate for ANY athlete including but not limited to soccer, lacrosse, field hockey, football, track & field, basketball, baseball, gymnastics, figure skating, wrestling, etc.
Content:
Specific yoga postures designed to improve efficiency ie, the movement in many sports involves forward and backward flows. We focus on postures that twist & rotate the hips & thoracic regions.
Breathing exercises to create introversion and a relaxed energy flow. These techniques will help you manage your respiratory rate during workouts or competition.
Techniques for how to manage your mind when your mind is failing your body.
Techniques to simulate high altitude training at ground level to increase your VO2 capacity for greater speed and endurance.
